Goodbye Manay Amy

I got a phone call from the Philippines this morning and received a news that my cousin, Manay Amy is in critical condition.  On my way home from work this afternoon, I got a text that said, "she passed away."  She fought a long and very hard battle with a nasty disease. Now it's time for my cousin to rest. I am so sad but happy that she is not suffering anymore.  Rest in peace Manay Amy.

    Sad news ini, Grace, kabatit pa niya but tama ka, she's not suffering anymore. Awatunon din niya pinaghirapan idto. My condolences to her family.

    Msgr. Monje delivered a very beautiful homily during the funeral mass. He talked of her faith, her inner strength and her commitment to and concern for the church in Sorsogon.

    Amy is in good hands now, Grace.
